reasons people reject Jesus

“Other People have said there is no God”

I thought about that one a lot one time. I thought that if I believe and become a christian and there is no God then I will suffer scorn and ridicule among people, but if there is a God and I don’t believe then I will suffer scorn and ridicule and hell if its really true. I decided to take the chance that it is true, because I have suffered scorn before and I can survive that, but I couldn’t survive if it is true and I rejected God. We come to Jesus by faith, with no evidence, it is only then that we find He reveals Himself to be very much true and alive.

“I prayed before and nothing happened”

Even though I wish it were true, God is not an ATM machine in the sky always giving us what we desire, sometimes He answers with “no” or “not yet”. the bible says: And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:27-28

This means even when evil seems to triumph, our lives become impossible, or when those we love die. We cannot always see what God is working in our lives from our vantage point down here, but we know that God is good and God is love. At other times we don’t get a yes answer from God because we ask with wrong motives:

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3

Sometimes we must wait because we live in a fallen world where angels battle to do God’s will:

Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.  But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Dan 10:12-13

“I have been hurt by too many Christians”

Perhaps you have been hurt by a church in your seeking of God. When I sought Jesus, He heard me, even though I was rejected by the church. Every prayer. He has heard yours too. He did not condone the way I was treated by christians, or people in the world. He answered me in unexpected ways, ways I wasn’t looking for Him in. Don’t let the things that people have done to you cause you to stop seeking Him. He was always answering me, rescuing me, even when I was still sinning, but it was often hard for me to hear Him.

The more unforgiveness and hate I had in my heart, the harder it grew to hear Him or see His answers. God is love, His love for you is immeasurable, no matter what anyone down here says, no matter what you have done. God poured out His anger on the cross where His Son was crucified. He will forgive you if you have sinned, but you have to ask Him to. I knew I needed Jesus to forgive my sins, and I knew I had to forgive the people that hurt me.

I wrestled for a long time about this. I was not able to do this on my own. I asked Jesus to give me strength to do it, and He did so that I could be set free from the prison cell of unforgiveness. I finally just obeyed, I said, Father forgive them. I didn’t feel loving to them, I hated them. I just obeyed. Then I asked Him to fill me with His love (rom.5:5) and I was able to let go of my hate. I now have compassion and deep forgiveness in my heart for those that hurt me but that took some time and that is ok, sometimes it is like that. When I was able to honestly admit my hurt to Jesus, He freed me from my anger and filled me with His love, He healed my heart.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matt 6:14-15

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11:25

I heard one time that resentment is like you drinking poison hoping the other guy will die. If you cannot forgive today, ask Jesus to make you willing. He will do that also. If you have been bound in unforgiveness for a long time, how long are you going to give it? Another 10 years? Be free of all that and be filled with the Joy of Jesus. Jesus stood by me no matter what other people did to me. He has never left me nor forsaken me even though my sins have been many and terrible.

“why would a loving God send good people to hell?”

It’s not His will. Since the beginning of creation people have been rejecting God and choosing their own way instead. He has made it so simple to live in heaven for eternity. The simplicity that is in Christ Jesus. This One simple thing is what has made people so upset that they reject Jesus and seek and strive to enter heaven any other way.

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? Ezek 18:23

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

“God wants to take away all my fun”

When my children were too young to understand about playing in the street and they wandered near it, I grabbed them up and returned them to the yard. When they got a little older I used to tell them not to play in the busy street lest they be
slaughtered by a semi truck. A few times I walked up to the edge of the road with them and showed them the speed of the vehicles going by and told them to think about what would happen to them if they were hit by a car or truck. I told them and told them and told them. When they got a lot older I said to myself, “I will not chase them down and beat them up if they disobey me, I love them. When they are older I will not force them to do my will, I love them.” God has told us and told us what will happen if we choose disobedience over obedience, darkness over light. He does not force us to follow Him. I weep deeply when my children turn away from right to serve wrong. God is the same. My compassion came from Him, even before I knew Him.

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.  For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,  And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. Luke 19:41-44

He has made it very easy that any person can have eternal life.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:14-17

I looked that^ up because I said to myself, what is this serpent in the wilderness thing? The story is in the book of numbers (21:5-9) The people sinned and snakes came among them and bit the people and a lot of people died from them. The people said to moses, pray for us because we have sinned, pray that God will take away the snakes. The Lord said to moses to make a serpent and set it upon a pole, and that anyone that looked at the snake moses made on the pole, would live, even if he had been bitten by a snake. So moses did this, even though that makes absolutely no sense, and everyone that had been bitten that looked at the snake on the pole lived.
In the same way, If we look at Jesus we will live.

Come unto me, all… Matt 11:28

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev 3:20

“I have lived a good life! I deserve heaven even if I don’t follow Jesus!”

People often choose to clothe themselves in righteous works instead of an encounter with the Living God and the possibility that they may loose an earthly possession or position. They refuse to do God’s will, which is to submit and believe on His Son, the only way to eternal life. They are hoping that somehow His plan is instead that they ignore Jesus and just try to do the best they can and that He will be happy with their good works. Or that He will agree that they had it tough but did the best they could. Their pride is still saying, I don’t have to do what you say God, I am going to do this MY way. God doesn’t want to injure our pride, He wants to kill it.
Pride is exactly why the devil fell from heaven, He didn’t want to submit to God, He wanted to be God. The devil fills us with pride so that we won’t want to submit to God also. God wants to make us into wonderful, powerful, awesome people, free from pride because pride only causes us to fall. God wants us to be His children. The children of a Great and Mighty King, free children, relieved from bondage to darkness so we can inherit all Jesus has for us.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:18-21

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Jesus met a man named Nicodemus. Nicodemus had to have led a pretty sinless life to become a ruler of the Jews and a pharisee, we know this because pharisees had to keep the law to become pharisees. Jesus told Nicodemus that even though he understood that Jesus was sent from God he still had to be born again to enter into the kingdom of God.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:  The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:1-6

“What kind of loving God would let all those people of other religions burn in hell when they are trying to do good and just don’t know any better?”

We americans tend to think that if we personally haven’t preached the gospel to a country, that it has thus never heard it.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. Romans 10:17-18

When the original disciples and many others with them that believed in Jesus preached on the day of Pentecost God sent the gospel to every nation.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Acts 2:5

Every nation has had a christian preaching Jesus since that day.

But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. Romans 10:18

If we just look at the apostle Pauls ministry we begin to see the scope of the original spread of the gospel.

Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: Acts 19:26

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. Romans 1:15

In the back of a lot of bibles there are usually maps and one is often “the journeys of the Apostle Paul” which show how far he went to personally start churchs. There were many more disciples than paul, they went out also. There were many more people in the room at
pentecost than the 11 disciples. Philip preached to a high ranking member of staff of the Queen of the Ethiopian continent, the man was born again and baptized, and then returned to his own country. Acts 8:26
Jesus appeared to the Apostle Paul (formerly Saul) personally. Acts 22:6. There have been many times that Jesus has appeared to people by vision or dream resulting in them being saved.
God also had them write down these things so that the message of salvation would cover the earth. Living epistles going throughout the world from the beginning. Written epistles sent to encourage and guide. God is not unjust or unfair.

Jesus had a personal encounter with a man named saul on the road to damascas with no earthly help, this man later became known as the apostle Paul. Jesus is able to save people all by himself, He is alive. I have heard of many people that have seen Jesus in remote areas where there are no preachers and they give their lives to Him quite well without our help. Every man has an opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus while on this earth, what they do with that is up to them.

…All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. Romans 10:21

Those outstretched Hands of His are pierced from the nails of the cross He bore to make sure that since we couldn’t be righteous on our own, He would provide even that for us to be made right with Him.

By the time Jesus died, there were lots of people that had died before then without knowing of Him. He spent three days in hell setting any of them that would accept Him free from their sins also.

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 1Peter 4:6  After Jesus was born on earth and died for our sins it does not say anyone now gets an opportunity to come to repentance after they died, but God is not unjust to those that were born before that.

“I have been abused, life isn’t fair”

Some people I have met reject Jesus because of the injustices they have suffered. “People have mistreated me, I have a right to be angry”, or “I will stay in my addiction instead of letting Jesus into my life”. You do have a right to be angry, the bible says be angry but sin not. When we stay in our addictions and anger we are letting the perpetrator still have the victory in our lives. I heard somewhere that the best revenge is to live free and well in spite of what happened to us. Drugs and alcohol pervert judgement, Proverbs 31:5. That means we begin to see things askew.

Often people that are addicted to drugs but don’t want to quit them will say to me, my ex took my child from me its not fair! I will lovingly say to them, “they didn’t take your child from you, you chose drugs over your family, the decision was and still is yours, pray that Jesus will help you repent. He can turn you around and lead you the other way, receive life  abundant”. Once a man was complaining to me about how “they” had sent him to rotten stinking jail. He told me every detail of the rotten stinking jail and how long he had to stay there and how it wasn’t fair. I told him this: “years ago I lost my temper publicly and threatened to kill a guy I hated that had hurt me very badly. He had pressed charges because of me saying that I would kill him if I ever saw him again, and had me thrown in jail. I had been physically abused by the man, and suffered great injustice for many years by him. He had never got into any trouble for hurting me, even though I had called the police often. Just because I said I wanted to kill him, I was arrested. I said, “he didn’t put me in jail, I put me in jail, what I did was still wrong.”

I had a very hard childhood. For years I blamed my upbringing, the things that happened to me, and the people that hurt me for my current behavior. Then one day I heard, “you are an adult now. Those things that happened to you shaped you and caused you to sin, I don’t hold you responsible for that, it wasn’t fair or just. But now it is up to you what you are going to do with it. Today you have a choice of how you will live, stay stuck in the rut of the past, stay drunk and hurt, or do something to change, heal.

The choice from today on is yours. You decide. If you choose darkness and sin, it is your choice, because today you can choose to recover.” I hear things like that sometimes. Jesus never said that I had to change myself, He said if there first be a willing mind He would change me. But He left the choice up to me. I went to therepy and recovery program and I prayed that Jesus would change me because I was tired of being the way I was.

“I don’t want to be like those Christians!”

Good news! Jesus hasn’t called you to be like “all those christians”, He has called you to be like Him.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Romans 8:29-30

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:  Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Phil 3:20-21

I encourage you to read the gospels and see what Jesus is like, pattern your life after that, not what you have seen in a church, or another person.

Jesus said to go make disciples. He didn’t say to go make americans of men, or go make disciples of ourselves or our churches. Long ago, missionaries in america tried to evangelize the native americans, not knowing that the native americans knew probably more of the Great Spirit than the evangelists did. They didn’t so much offer them what was lacking in their faith, God’s Son Jesus, as much as they taught them to eat with forks and spoons, to forsake tents and live in houses.

Instead of learning their language and translating the bible into their tongue, they forced them to learn english. Jesus probably thought that the natives were more loving and civilized than a lot of the missionaries. He said to go make disciples of Jesus. Jesus in them, not as we want them to be. Jesus made all nationalities the way they are, He completes them, not changing them into another nationality. We are only called to tell them “Jesus is God’s son, the fulfilling of the prophesies, the atonement for our sins. He is saying, Come follow Me, don’t you know I love you?”
Jesus never killed someone because they didn’t follow Him, He healed lots of people that never got saved or followed Him, He is kind, even if we don’t love Him. (matt 5:45) (matt 23:8-11)
One time in the gospels Jesus disciples asked if they should command fire to come down and destroy some people that were not inviting to Jesus:

And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,  And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?  But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.  For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village. Luke 9:51-56

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. John 12:26

If you want to make Jesus your Saviour, you will be called to let go of your sins, to choose not to walk in them anymore by His power. He knows we can’t change ourselves. When I tell my children not to do something it is not because I am being mean and don’t want them to have any fun, it is because I have done it myself and I know how badly it hurt me, how my heart felt when I sinned, how I ended up hating myself.

are people that have been spending time in paradise for at least the last

When people think of the christian life they often think rigorous, no fun at all. Following Jesus doesn’t give you fun, it gives you joy unspeakable. I don’t chuckle at worldy jokes anymore, I fall down on the floor laughing at some of the things the Lord shows me.

You may say in your heart what will people think of me if I become a christian? You will loose some friends and family, but the choice is eternal. Spend perhaps a hundred years on this earth with the glory and approval of the men around you, and eternal life in hell with them also if you want to. We don’t know when we will die, or when Jesus will return for His people, maybe you only have a few years left down here or a few minutes. You can choose to spend this life in luxury and ease if you want to, but know that there are people that have been spending time in paradise for at least the last two thousand years already. Maybe those friends of yours are hoping that you have the guts to do what they wish they could and if you give your life to Jesus they will see how happy you are and follow. Maybe they won’t. Of all the selfish things we do, maybe giving our lives to Jesus out of self preservation is wise selfishness.

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; Deut 30:15

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deut 30:19

This decision in each man or womans life plays out in country after country, home after home, different players sometimes but the example is of any person anywhere. people dying apart from God’s will which is that all men should be saved forgiven and loved, and then blaming Him for it. We must accept Jesus in this life to gain eternal life.

God did an amazing thing with people, He wrote His law on their hearts. The singer Barry McGuire explained this quite profoundly and truthfully when he said that even aboriginal cannibals know its wrong to eat someone, because they don’t want to get eaten!

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:  Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) Romans 2:14-15

Jesus said that all the law was summed up in two things:

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matt 22:36-40

you may say, “But I don’t believe in God!”

I don’t believe that there is really a true athiest anywhere on the planet, because it says:

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:19-20

One day my grandson was asking me about this not believing in God stuff and I said to him, if you got really really mad at me, I mean really mad, you could go home and if someone asked you about me you could say, “I DON’T HAVE A GRANDMA! I NEVER DID!” If he did that, it wouldn’t mean that I didn’t exist or that he really believed I never existed, it would mean that we were having issues. Thank God that He understands when we are having issues with Him. Thank God that Jesus died for the rebellious also.

Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them. Psalms 68:18

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;  Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the  bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: Acts 17:24-27

One time when my son was young and in the first grade he came home from school very angry. He barged in the front door yelling I hate you, I hate you, and then he kicked me as hard as he could in the shins. Instead of punishing him or being angry, I knelt down and took him in my arms and gently said, “did you have a very bad day at school? I am so sorry.” He began to cry and let all that anger out and said, “mom they keep picking on me and calling me really bad names, it hurts so bad.” I was able to see it like Jesus sees it for once. He knows our lives, let Him comfort your hurts. He understands when we are angry with Him.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. Eph 2:14-17

“Following Jesus is too rigorous and stern, it is no fun.”

Sometimes when I read the bible I hear it like my earthly abuser was speaking, kinda rude, very condemning, setting me up to be hurt with kind words only to make me vulnerable, and then slamming me with something horrible, always angry. When I was at recovery group a while back, my friend breanna was there and we always laugh and joke each other, we have a great time. When we hang out she is very funny and joyful, absolute kick in the pants. Sitting there laughing with her I was thinking, there are not many real emotional words in the bible.
I remembered about a scripture passage that always made me feel inadequate. When Jesus was in the ship and it was storming He got up and said to the disciples, “where is your faith?” and rebuked the winds and sea. Sitting there laughing with Bree I suddenly thought, wow, what if when Jesus said that He was laughing, What if He said, “where is your faith hehe”, and then thought, watch this- and calmed the sea so they would be amazed. Jesus said: “and many more works shall my father do that you may marvel.” Maybe He laughs a lot more than we think.

some people think they have sinned too greatly.

Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:  But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:  Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit. Mark 3:28-30

That says all sins, except the blaspheme of the Holy Ghost. When we sin a grievous sin it often makes us feel like no one else has ever done anything so horrible as us. We often feel Jesus would forgive the not so bad person in church but never us. We often have very great shame. That is usually because of the intentional or unintentional judgment we receive from people. Even if we have sinned so greatly that all the people on earth would condemn us and cast us out, Jesus won’t.

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. John 6:37

If we come to Him He will in no wise cast us out.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:28

That says, “Come unto Me, all.”

some people think they have sinned not too greatly.

I was searching for my sins the other day, to confess them to Jesus, I remembered of a lot of them, but I had a reason and excuse for all those. Suddenly I stopped doing that, and started searching for my righteousness instead.
I looked back on my life for one thing I had done right and I couldn’t find one thing. The good I did, I did in the wrong spirit for the wrong motives. Sometimes I did really nice, kind things, but I did those to the wrong people, I was mean to the people He would have blessed and nice to the people He wouldn’t have. (ezek 13:22)(ezek 16:18-19) (mat 7:6)
Sometimes I did really nice things just so I could get really nice things in return, I didn’t really love the people, I wanted what I wanted and that’s why I did it. Sometimes I did really nice things so that would people would think I was wonderful, they did. And that was my reward, and the truth is, I wasn’t wonderful I was self centered.(mat 6:1) Every thing I did, I did wrong.

Just like the apostle Paul said, no good thing dwells in me, in my flesh. (rom 7:18-19)
Sometimes the Spirit of the Lord came upon me in my life, and I did really awesome wonderful right things, but those always took me by surprise. Those were things I would never have even thought of, that the Lord just impressed me to do. I call those my accidental righteous deeds. I can’t take credit for those things, that was Him.
I remembered that Jesus loves sinners, He died for sinners… I QUALIFY!!!!! I am the kind of people that Jesus pours out wonderfully abundant measures of the Holy Spirit to. (matt 5:3-4)(Luke 18:9)

I was thinking, does Jesus love sinners more than righteous people? No, I dont believe He does. Its just that sinners who know they are sinners will let Him bless them. What if I, dressed as I am in scarfy clothing, very poor, and not beautiful, walked up to a very rich man and handed him a twenty dollar bill. What would he say? He would look at me like I was crazy and say, I don’t need your money I have enough of my own. He might drop my money on the ground and walk away in disgust. That is what happens when Jesus offers Himself to a wealthy person, wealthy in their own righteousness. Rev 3:14-22
If I tried to give the twenty dollars to a widow that lived in a poor section of town, she might be absolutely thankful and receive it gladly. She might also on the other hand though, say to me, I don’t accept charity, I never have, never will. The bible says the common people heard Him gladly and He healed them of all their infirmities.

People often say, you christians always say that Jesus will come back and rapture people, but it hasn’t happened!

I thank God that you are able to stand and mock, it means He is giving you more time to be saved.

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:  Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:3-7

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

There were three men dying on crosses the day Jesus died for our sins, one confessed his
sins and asked Jesus to remember him. One railed on Him until the end.
And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.  But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?  And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.  And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Luke 23:39-43

Which one will you be?
